What to do right now
Switch it off and unplug it. Turn it upside down with the lid open to drain. Do not switch it on to test it, do not use a hair dryer and do not put it in rice. Bring it in as soon as you can.
Why speed matters
Corrosion keeps spreading after the spill. On T2 and Apple silicon Macs the storage is tied to the logic board, so repairing the board is also how your files are saved.

Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. It does not cover new accidental damage.
