Swollen batteries are a safety issue
If the trackpad or keyboard is lifting, or the base of the laptop no longer sits flat, the battery may be swelling. Stop using the laptop, keep it off charge and bring it in. Do not try to press it flat or puncture it.
Battery or charger?
If the laptop will not charge at all, the fault may be the charger or the charging port rather than the battery. We test all three so you only replace what has actually failed.

Questions
How long does a battery replacement take?
Many laptop batteries are replaced the same day when the battery is in stock. We give you a date if it needs ordering.
Do you replace glued-in batteries?
Yes. Many thin laptops, MacBooks and Surface devices have glued batteries, and we remove and replace them safely.
Will a new battery make my laptop last longer?
Yes. A new battery restores unplugged running time close to what the laptop managed when it was new.
Do I need an appointment?
Not at our main workshop: walk in Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. For our Beckenham drop-off point, please call to book an appointment before you come.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes, repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. It does not cover new accidental damage.
