Charger, port or board?
We test your charger first, then the port, then the charging circuit on the board. Many laptops only need a new charger or port, and we tell you which before starting.
USB-C and round DC jacks
Older laptops mostly use a round DC jack, and newer ones charge over USB-C or MagSafe. Both can be repaired, and on many models the port is a separate part that can be replaced without replacing the board.

Questions
How long does a charging port repair take?
Many are done the same day when the part is in stock. Ports soldered to the board take longer.
Can you tell if it is my charger?
Yes. We test your charger with a known good laptop and your laptop with a known good charger.
My laptop will not turn on at all. Can you still help?
Yes. That is a common symptom of charging or power circuit faults, and we diagnose it before quoting.
Do I need an appointment?
Not at our main workshop: walk in Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. For our Beckenham drop-off point, please call to book an appointment before you come.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes, repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. It does not cover new accidental damage.
