Common repairs
Screen
Cracked, black, flickering or lined screens. We fit a matching panel and test it for dead pixels, brightness and colour.
Touchscreen
The glass and display are usually bonded together, so a cracked touchscreen is replaced as one assembly and calibrated afterwards.
Battery
The glued-in design makes this a delicate job, but a new battery gives the device years more use.
Charging
Not charging, or only at an angle? We test the charger, the Surface Connect port and the power circuit to find the fault.
Kickstand and Type Cover
A loose kickstand or a keyboard cover that is not detected is usually the hinge or the magnetic connector.
Data recovery
If it will not start, we can often still recover your files. We check the drive before anything else.
Good to know
Surface Pro screens are glued in place, so replacing the screen or the battery means careful heating and separation. Earlier models are harder to open than the Pro 8 onwards.
