Common repairs
Screen
Cracked, black, flickering or lined screens. We fit a matching panel and test it for dead pixels, brightness and colour.
Touchscreen
The glass and display are usually bonded together, so a cracked touchscreen is replaced as one assembly and calibrated afterwards.
Battery
Drains fast, shuts down with charge left or shows a service warning? We fit a new battery and check the charging circuit.
Keyboard
Missing, sticking or dead keys and spill damage. On some models the keyboard is fixed to the top case, and we tell you before starting.
Charging
Not charging, or only at an angle? We test the charger, the Surface Connect port and the power circuit to find the fault.
Motherboard
No power, no picture or random shutdowns often come down to one failed part. Board-level repair costs far less than a new board.
Data recovery
If it will not start, we can often still recover your files. We check the drive before anything else.
Good to know
Surface Laptops use the Surface Connect charger on most models, and later ones can also charge over USB-C. On earlier models the keyboard deck is glued down, so internal repairs take more care.
