Common repairs
Screen
Cracked, black, flickering or lined screens. We fit a matching panel and test it for dead pixels, brightness and colour.
Hinges
Stiff, loose or broken hinges and mounts pulling out of the case. Fixing them early protects the screen.
Overheating
Loud fans and slowdowns usually mean dust in the heatsink. We clean the cooling system and renew the thermal paste.
Fan
A fan that grinds, rattles or has stopped needs replacing before it overheats. We fit a new one and test under load.
Graphics faults
Lines, coloured blocks or a black screen with sound can point to the graphics chip or its power circuit. We repair at board level.
Charging
Not charging, or only at an angle? We test the charger, the Round DC jack port and the power circuit to find the fault.
SSD and storage
On most models the SSD is a standard M.2 drive, so it can be upgraded or replaced and your files copied across.
Good to know
Nitro 5 hinges and charging ports take a lot of strain on these heavier laptops. Regular cleaning keeps the fans quiet and the graphics running at full speed.
