Can my computer take an SSD?
Most laptops and desktops with a removable drive can. Some thin laptops and all Apple silicon Macs have storage soldered to the board, so they cannot be upgraded. We check your model first.
Keeping your files
We clone your old drive onto the new SSD, so you start up to the same desktop, files and programs as before.

Moving from a hard drive to an SSD is usually a dramatic improvement, especially at start-up.
Can I keep my old drive?
Yes, you can take it home, or we can fit it in an enclosure as a backup drive.
How long does it take?
Often the same day, depending on how much data needs copying.
Do I need an appointment?
Not at our main workshop: walk in Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. For our Beckenham drop-off point, please call to book an appointment before you come.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. It does not cover new accidental damage.
