How we check it first
Before replacing a screen we connect your laptop to an external display. If the picture is fine there, the fault is in the panel or cable; if not, it may be the graphics chip, which is a different repair. That check means you only pay for the repair you actually need.
What to do in the meantime
Close the lid gently and avoid pressing on the cracked area. If you can still see enough of the screen, plug in a monitor or TV and back up your files.

Questions
How long does a laptop screen replacement take?
Common screens are often replaced the same day when the panel is in stock. Less common panels, such as some OLED or touchscreens, may need ordering, and we give you a date when you drop the laptop off.
Can you replace a touchscreen?
Yes. On most touchscreen laptops the glass and display are bonded together, so we replace them as one assembly and test the touch afterwards.
Will I lose my files?
No. A screen replacement does not touch your storage.
Do I need an appointment?
Not at our main workshop: walk in Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. For our Beckenham drop-off point, please call to book an appointment before you come.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes, repairs carry a 3-month warranty on parts and labour. It does not cover new accidental damage.
