The London Overground runs from Crystal Palace to Canada Water, one stop from Bermondsey on the Jubilee line.
Bermondsey station (Jubilee line) and London Bridge are both within walking distance of the workshop.

A short history of Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace takes its name from the huge glass hall built for the Great Exhibition of 1851, which was moved to Sydenham Hill in 1854 and stood there until it burned down in 1936. The park still has the Victorian dinosaur sculptures made for the palace grounds, and FA Cup finals were played there from 1895 to 1914. Five London boroughs meet at the top of the hill.
