Getting here from Rotherhithe
The London Overground runs from Rotherhithe to Canada Water, one stop from Bermondsey on the Jubilee line.

A short history of Rotherhithe
The Mayflower set off from Rotherhithe in 1620 before carrying the Pilgrims to America. In 1843 Marc Brunel’s Thames Tunnel opened here, the first tunnel built under a navigable river, and the Surrey Docks made Rotherhithe a busy port for centuries.
